The short version
Schwaiberl does not collect any data about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no network connection of any kind. Everything the app remembers — your raisings, dressed trees, chronicle and settings — is stored only on your device, in Apple's standard local storage, and is never sent anywhere.
What the app stores on your device
- Progress — villages raised, scores, stars, streaks and best times.
- Workshop choices — spiral colour, wreath, guild signs and the board inscription for the tree you are dressing.
- Board pictures — a photo you pick from your library or take with the camera for your village board. It is resized and kept in the app's own storage on your device. It is never uploaded, and the app never has network access to send it anywhere.
- Settings — sound, music, haptics and appearance preferences, saved in
UserDefaults.
None of this leaves your device. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Camera and Photo Library
Schwaiberl asks for camera or photo library access only when you choose to add a picture to a village board in the Baum workshop. The picture is used solely for that board image, stored locally, and never transmitted. You can decline or later revoke access in Settings without losing any other part of the app.
Notifications
If you turn on evening reminders in Settings, Schwaiberl schedules ordinary local notifications on your device (a daily-fest reminder and a yearly 30 April reminder). These are generated and delivered entirely on-device by iOS. No notification data is sent to us or to anyone else, because there is no server to send it to.

Children's privacy
Schwaiberl is a general-audience folklore and timing game. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
