Why did my heave not lift the tree?
The leader calls "Hau — ruck!" on a steady beat. Tap right on "ruck", not before or after. A tap that lands off the beat still counts as an attempt but tires the crew without lifting the tree. Watch the beat ring closing around the button — it lands exactly on the beat.
The pole pair keeps slipping or falling short — what do I do?
Each pole pair only reaches a certain angle band. As the tree climbs, swap to the next pole pair in the rack before you keep heaving. A pole that glows in the rack is ready to swap in. Using one that is too short wastes the heave; one that is too long slips and knocks the lean.
How do I fix the lean?
Drag the rope crews on either side of the trestle left or right to correct the lean gauge. Wind and uneven pushing tip the tree, and if the lean goes too far the safety props catch it — you lose time, but the tree never falls.
My raising was interrupted and the tree never fell — is that normal?
Yes. The safety props always catch the tree if a heave goes wrong or the lean passes its limit. Nothing in Schwaiberl can end in the tree toppling; a caught prop only costs you time on the clock.
Why can't I add a photo to my village board?
Adding a board picture uses your camera or photo library, and iOS will ask permission the first time. If you declined it earlier, open Settings → Schwaiberl and turn on Camera or Photos access, or use the in-app Settings link to jump there directly.
Do I need an account, or an internet connection?
No. Schwaiberl works entirely offline. There is no account, no login and no online leaderboard — every raising, dressed tree and chronicle entry stays on your device.
How do I reset my progress?
Open Settings from the Fest tab and choose Reset Progress. This clears every village, dressed tree and chronicle entry and starts the ladder over from the first village.
